Community comes together to pray for those affected by the wildfires
A SMALL GROUP OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAME TOGETHER RIGHT HERE TO HOST A PRAYER SERVICE TO UPLIFT FIREFIGHTERS AND THOSE AFFECTED BY THE GROWING WILDFIRES. THE DAY TONIGHT, WE’RE ASKING THAT GOD WILL SEND AN ANGEL ANGELS TO PROTECT PRAYERS FILLED SAINT MARY’S ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN CHAMBERSBURG AS A SPECIAL SERVICE WAS HELD TONIGHT WAS SPECIFICALLY TO PRAY FOR THOSE THAT ARE AFFECTED BY THE FOREST FIRES FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS AND THE FIRST AID, THE FIRST RESPONDERS AND ANYONE THAT HAD TO EVACUATE THEIR HOMES BECAUSE OF IT. THE CHURCH SAYS ALTHOUGH THEY CANNOT HELP WITH THE DIRECT LINE OF FIRE, THIS IS ONE WAY THEY KNEW THEY COULD MAKE AN IMPACT. WE’RE DOING OUR PART BY PRAYING, OFFERING UP PRAYERS TO THE LORD THAT HE MAY PROTECT AND KEEP SAFE FROM ALL HARM. THOSE WHO ARE WHO ARE TRYING TO PUT OUT THESE FIRES, AND ESPECIALLY THE FAMILIES THAT ARE DIRECTLY AFFECTED. AGENCY WHERE THERE IS INVOLVED TO THE PRAYERS THEY HOPE ARE FELT IMMEDIATELY BY EVERYONE AFFECTED. HOPEFULLY WHEN THEY GET HOME AT NIGHT, THEY CAN JUST FEEL THAT SUPPORT AND FEEL SOME SORT OF REST AND PEACE AS WELL. I WANT THEM TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE HERE THAT ARE PRAYING FOR THEM. MAYBE THAT WILL GIVE THEM A LITTLE BIT OF STRENGTH, A LITTLE BIT OF HOPE, ALONG WITH FIRST RESPONDERS. THEY ALSO WANT EVERYONE WHO’S BEEN IMPACTED BY THESE WILDFIRES TO KNOW YOU’RE NOT ALONE.
